A design-build development of an 84,000 square foot corporate airline hangar and two-storey office facility for London Air Services at the Vancouver International Airport. This structure utilizes a steel building system to facilitate the 366 foot clear span required for the movement and storage of London Air Service’s fleet.
Unique construction technologies were used, such as compressed air foam sprinker systems, light-weight steel structures to eliminate the need for pilings, and an infrared/laser heat detection system to sense rapid heat rise.
