This project will provide much needed, affordable seniors' housing in Mississauga, supporting the health, independence, and well-being of seniors in the community. The scope includes an eight-storey, 67,000 sq. ft. addition that will deliver 70 new residential units integrated with the existing 190-unit seniors’ residence at 4150 Westminster Place.
Delivery will utilize a timber-hybrid structural system. The lower levels consist of concrete foundations, one level of underground parking, a suspended ground-floor slab, and a concrete transfer slab at Level 2. Above the transfer slab, Levels 3 through 8 transition to mass timber construction, using cross-laminated timber (CLT) floor panels supported by glulam columns and beam.
