Groundbreaking at the new Steveston Community Centre

The $90 million Steveston Community Centre and Branch Library broke ground earlier this month and site preparation will start later in the month.

This project has been a priority of Richmond City Council as it will not only update the current community centre with needed amenities but will also mark the City’s commitment to building strong communities that reflect the diverse culture of Richmond.

Scott was selected as the Construction Manager of the project and has been collaborating with HDR Architecture during the conceptual design phase, which has drawn influence from every corner of the community. Beyond the aesthetic design, the facility will be innovative, sustainable, and inclusive. Construction will pursue Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) Gold Certification.
