The Douglas College Coquitlam Envelope Renewal was a multi-phase, 29,500 sq. ft. project involving the assessment, remediation, and upgrade of Building A, Building B, the Daycare Facility, Atrium, and interior courtyards. Work was carried out while the campus remained fully occupied, requiring a carefully sequenced, multi-phase approach to maintain safe access and minimize disruption to classes and campus activities.
The project focused on modernizing the building envelope to improve durability, energy performance, and weather protection. Work included replacing outdated windows and façade components, upgrading air and moisture barriers, and integrating new architectural elements to enhance the building’s appearance. Exterior improvements and courtyard landscaping were also completed as part of the renewal.
