The Mission Campus Redevelopment (MCR) project involves a comprehensive interior renovation of two floors spanning approximately 17,222 sq. ft., and a subsequent relocation of the Academic Programs and Research Centre Institutes.
The first floor was renovated to create a learning commons, a new library, a student gathering area with breakout rooms and collaboration space, and inclusive/non-gendered washrooms.
On the second floor, there will be academic teaching spaces and offices.
As part of the redevelopment, the main entry of the UFV MCR will be redesigned to integrate indigenous ways of being, reflecting and integrating indigenous culture, art, and ways of being into the design.
